Sunshine Sno

Every time our family went to the movie theatre, they would advertise neon-colored slushies. The bright colors attracted attention from all the kids, and most parents would give in and buy them for their kids, but that didn't feel right for our family. How could we feel comfortable giving our kids a treat filled with all kinds of chemicals and dyes? This was especially a concern for our youngest daughter, who struggled with food allergies and ADHD. Red 40 is notorious for triggering allergic reactions and worsening symptoms of ADHD, so we didn't want to harm our daughter for five minutes of a tasty treat. We wanted more for our daughters. So Sunshine Sno began as Sunshine Slush.

Sunshine Slush had humble roots in a historic theater, where we offered organic and dye-free slush as an alternative to typical chemical-filled slushies. We worked tirelessly to develop a recipe that was chemical-free, dye-free, and still yummy enough that our girls would not just eat it, but prefer it! When the theater closed due to COVID-19, we pivoted to retail in hopes that we could share our product to families who struggle with similar concerns.

As parents, we understand how difficult allergy accommodations can be and how much you want to ensure your kids' safety and nourishment. Our commitment to transparency and quality sets us apart from other snow cone syrups on the market. No chemical will ever taste better than simple ingredients.
